In response to the recent announcements by rival DTH companies, Sun Direct has also announced new pricing and packages for it’s DTH service.
The Sun Direct set top box is now available for only Rs 890 for new customers. This is in response to TataSky and Airtel slashing the set top box price to less than Rs 1000 in the last few days.
Sun Direct has also unveiled it’s new channel package line-up. The Value pack, which is a base pack, now costs Rs 99 and has popular Hindi entertainment channels like Star Utsav, Colors, Sony, Zee Cinema and Set Max.
If a subscriber wants to add more channels to their subscription, then they can do so at an ala-carte (individual price- for just that one channel) price. Sun Direct offers 70 channels under this offer, with the individual channel costs ranging between Rs 5 and Rs 25.
On this occasion Mr Tony D’Silva, CEO, Sun Direct says, “Sun Direct has constantly raised the bar on delivering value to consumers not only through affordable pricing but also through providing relevant, meaningful choices. We wrote the rules on affordability in DTH with our launch and we are once again rewriting it with this 890 offer. And this time around we are also writing the rule on choice with our freedom to choose a la carte offer. Like we say Pick only what you want and Pay only for what you watch
It was only last week when Tata Sky had also announced it’s new channel packages- TruChoice.
