There is absolutely no doubt as to why Microsoft considers Windows 8 “the riskiest release” for the company. Simply because building on the success of Windows 7 will not be easy.
And Microsoft seems to be working hard on the successor to windows 7- the Windows 8 OS.
In a blog post on Microsoft’s Dutch website, the new OS will arrive in 2 years time. This means we can expect to see Windows 8 hitting shelves close to the festive season of 2012.
What is already known is that Windows 8 will come with a significant startup performance improvement. Rest of the features are still not confirmed, but we will keep you posted.
